Our scar panacea has the effects in the thinning of static proliferating scars due to thermal burn, mechanical or operative wounds and helping regaining the skin function. It is applied directly on the keloid twice daily for 30 days as one course of treatment. The Mili scar ointment is formulated for hypertropic scars or developing keloids. For keloids, we recommend the Black keloid paste 'Hei Ba Gao'. Main ingredients of the ointment include fructus bruceae, semen persicae (peach seed) borneolum and Saponaria officinalis. It has no side effects.
The ointment is formulated with unique ingredients that are found to be very effective in the treatment of hypertropic scars. The earlier it is applied, the shorter the time is needed to improve the unsightly appearances of the scar, ie. the redness and the raised tissues. A typical application lasts for 30 days, if applied twice a day. For the newly formed scar, after more than one month of formation, a small dosage of panacea is able to prevent the scar from growing, and regaining its normal skin appearance. If your scar is an old one, of more than 12 months, it will take longer to treat it.
For many, the first few applications can see a softening and flattening of the scar, without painful injections. Elasticity of the scar eliminates the itch that comes with the scar being irritated as it is growing. Our aim here is not to make a scar disappear. We aim to reduce a hypertropic scar into a normal scar architecture, one that neither itches or causes throbbing pain, and most importantly, is flat and does not spread.
Collagen turnover is accelerated as old fibrous tissue is removed and new fibrous tissue is formed. This process continues until the remodeling phase ends at six months to a year post-injury, depending on the extent of the injury. The high rate of collagen turnover in this phase can be either beneficial or detrimental. As long as the scar exhibits its a rosier appearance than normal, remodeling is underway. If joints and tissues can lose mobility quickly, they can also regain it quickly with proper management.
